Advantages and disadvantages of LED headlights
advantage

1. Long lifespan, usually reaching tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of hours. Some people believe that if future car lighting uses LED, the entire lifespan of the car will not require the replacement of lighting fixtures.
2. High efficiency and low energy consumption. LED light sources can directly produce the red, amber and other colors required for automotive lighting without the need for color filtering, with no loss and an energy utilization rate of over 80%.
3. High light quality, environmentally friendly products with basically no radiation, "green" light source.
4. The structure of LED is simple, with an internal support structure and transparent epoxy resin sealing around it, which has good seismic performance.
5. Illuminated without delay, with fast response speed (nanosecond level), suitable for use with fast moving objects.
6. Suitable for low voltage operation and fully applicable to automobiles.
7. LED occupies a small volume, and designers can freely change the lighting mode, making the car's design diverse. The preference of automobile manufacturers for LED is entirely determined by the advantages of LED itself.
Shortcoming
1. The cost is high. Taking LED reversing lights as an example, one LED reversing light is nearly 30 yuan, while a light bulb is only 3 yuan, with a large portion being the cost of LED lights. The high price makes it difficult for ordinary cars to afford LED headlights, making it difficult to promote in the market.
2. The popularization of LED car headlights is difficult, with poor heat dissipation and poor heat dissipation treatment, which can lead to light decay. Affects the service life of car lights.
3. There are currently no industry standards in place, resulting in uneven product quality.
4. Light design is a bit difficult.
5. Not suitable for long-term lighting, simple heat dissipation design should be considered for long-term lighting.
6. Poor maintenance performance.
7. The point light source creates a certain gap between the appearance of the lamp and the light bulb we are accustomed to, which challenges human acceptance.
